Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop stage-appropriate accounting policies and financial controls for our clients.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of a remote, flexible, and inclusive work environment.

This will be a hands-on role with direct exposure to all elements of an early-stage finance function. Strong candidates will quickly develop proficiency in the core requirements of this role and be eligible for promotion to Manager within 6-12 months.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Associate role will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting, assurance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or another relevant finance-related role.
  • Strong general knowledge of finance and accounting best practices and frameworks (GAAP).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and seek input from others when needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work across multiple client contexts and prioritize among competing deliverables.
  • A positive mindset, strong work ethic, and eagerness to collaborate, learn and improve.
  • A strong interest in the early-stage, venture-backed climate tech ecosystem.
  • A commitment to sustainability and driving positive planetary impact.

Hours & Benefits:

  • This role is fully remote and flexible. EMEA & LATAM candidates are also welcome to apply.
  • Occasional meetings will be required with US & UK-based team members during working hours in those timezones.
  • We are open to candidates seeking part-time or full-time work. A minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week will be required.
  • Full-time hires will have access to healthcare, vision, and dental benefits and a generous PTO policy (20 vacation days annually + 10 public holidays).

Pay:

  • Beginning range of $60-100K annually for full-time roles, subject to experience
