How to Contribute
Opinions, commentary and other contributions
ImpactAlpha values contributions from practitioners and other members of the impact investing industry and community. We look for thoughtful, thought-provoking, well-argued writing on just about any aspect of impact investing. Please note that ImpactAlpha’s audience of impact professionals is fairly sophisticated, so guest posts should go beyond the basics and advance the discussion.
Specifically we ask that posts:
- Run between 800 and 1200 words;
- Are solutions-oriented;
- Include real examples of funds, deals, companies, people or places to illustrate points;
- Strive for a lively/engaging but informative tone;
- Use links instead of footnotes wherever possible.
To submit an idea, or completed post, please complete this form.
Article pitches (from journalists)
ImpactAlpha is always in the market for good reporting. If you’re a journalist with experience writing about financial markets, investing, impact investing, ESG and sustainable finance, climate change, the inclusive economy, gender equality, development economics and other related issues and you’d like to work with us, send us a note at [email protected] and let’s see if we can make it work. We’re always looking for good journalists with the right experience and set of skills.
Pitches we are particularly keen on now:
- Place-based stories that dive into the deployment of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and other elements of the Inflation Reduction Act and bipartisan infrastructure law, particularly in underserved communities
- Innovative financial models that are solving difficult-to-fund social and environmental challenges, like climate adaptation and affordable housing
Ideas, sources and leads
If you have an idea you think would make a good subject for an article or project, we’d love to take a look, though we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to act on it. Please drop a note to us at [email protected].
Thanks very much,
The ImpactAlpha editorial team
