Position Summary

The Finance Manager will report to the Managine Partner at New Ventures. The role will encompass a comprebensive financial analysis, reporting, risk management, regulatory compliance, and contribute with the accounting operations team. With a keen focus on aligning financial strategies with our mission and goals with a business mindset, you will execute strategic plans and design new processes to drive sustainable growth and success.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with New Ventures’ objectives. :
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and generate reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial performance and trends :
  • Implement risk management protocols to identity, assess, and mitigate financial risks effectively.
  • Lead treasury operation including cash flow management, investment strategies, and banking relationships, to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability.
  • Supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the accounting team within the broader context of the organization’s financial performance: fostering collaboration to uphold the groups financial objectives and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Contribute with the accounting team and their accounting processes to execute strategic plans and design new processes to drive sustainable growth.

 

Qualifications

A successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Professional motivation aligned with New Ventures mission to build a more inclusive economy and address complex. systemic issues.

• Proficiency in Spanish and English (B 1-B2 level or above) encompassing reading, listening, and speaking. essential for engaging with stakeholders across different countries and facilitating due diligence processes for resource acquisition.

• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in macros and dashboard creation, with an ideal familiarity with ather tools such as Tableau.

• Minimum of.4 years of professional experience related to the brancial, business and/or accounting departments, sectors preferred in the consulting or start-up ecosysteme

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Administration or Accountine. with a preference for a Master’s degree in Busineys, Administration, Finance, or related helds.

• Accounting Knowledge. Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including the ability to interpret financial statements and manage general accounting processes.

• Financial Modeling: Proficient in leveraging financial modeling tools to forecast future financial performance and provide recommendations for the company.

• Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data and apply it for informed decision making, including. proficiency in profitability analysis cost analysis , and budgeting

• Technological Skills: Competence in leveraging technological tools, such as financial analyst software. treasury management flat forms, and financial process automation tools
