ImpactAlpha, November 9 – Logistics inefficiencies clog the movement of goods, drive up costs, and create unsafe road conditions in Colombia. Bogota-based Teclogi connects companies to drivers to deliver their goods. By cutting out what it says are unnecessary intermediaries, Teclogi claims to cut transportation costs by 40% and give independent drivers an income boost of up to 25%.
Acumen Latam Impact Ventures, or ALIVE, led the company’s $4.6 million investment round. It backed the company for its potential to “drastically improve the working conditions and socio-economic situation of drivers in the region.”
ALIVE is currently raising its second fund.
