About this Role
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Sustainability Analyst to join our growing and collaborative team at Inari Agriculture. In this role, you will be key to advancing Inari’s mission to enable Food System Sustainability. You will work closely with the Head of Sustainability and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing sustainability data, tracking, analysis, and modeling to support the quantification and reporting of Inari’s sustainability impact. You will play a crucial role in embedding SEEDesign™ System Modeling into the product stage gate process, refining the model, and integrating additional data. Moreover, you will compile and analyze data to support tracking Inari’s operational impacts, including Scope 1-3 analysis. You will also support facilities, lab, and greenhouse operations in executing sustainability initiatives, including establishing and tracking targets and metrics. Broadly, you will contribute to the development and execution of Inari’s Food System Sustainability projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to building and implementing Inari’s systems and processes to measure our impact
- Support embedding of SEEDesign™ System Modeling (Inari’s customized dynamic systems model) into the product stage gate process, including model refinement and integration of additional data
- Compile and analyze data to support tracking of Inari’s operational impacts, including Scope 1-3 analysis
- Support facilities and lab and greenhouse operations in execution of sustainability initiatives, including establishing and tracking targets and metrics
- Broadly contribute to the development and execution of Inari’s Food System Sustainability projects and initiatives
Requirements
- Clear passion for sustainability and a basic understanding of underlying drivers
- Proficiency with statistics and intermediate level algebra
- Experience with data visualization to communicate complex relationships and derive unique insights
- Ability to explore and analyze data, summarize findings
- Ability to alternate between diving deep into detailed analyses and zooming back out to a systems-level view
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse range of audiences
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a love of learning
- A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Analytical thinking, creativity, willingness to be bold and take risks, and the ability to recognize and learn from failure
- Ability to work both independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment
- 2+ years of experience in modeling, statistics, sustainability, or other similar roles
