About this Role
This senior-level role involves strategic oversight for the development of on-site power generation and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include originating land opportunities, managing interconnection strategies, and driving projects to financial close. Responsibilities
- Identify and originate development opportunities for on-site energy infrastructure.
- Evaluate market fundamentals and develop market entry strategies.
- Lead site selection and land control strategies.
- Oversee environmental and permitting strategies with environmental leadership.
- Manage interconnection applications and coordinate with ISOs and utilities.
- Develop and maintain development schedules and budgets.
- Present risk matrices and exposure analysis to executive leadership.
- Advise on portfolio strategy and potential joint ventures or M&A opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in power project development within organized wholesale markets.
- Proven ability to independently drive projects from early-stage to advanced development.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience in developing natural gas generation or utility-scale energy assets.
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities preferred.
- Leadership competencies including strategic thinking, market intuition, and risk evaluation.
