About this Role

The Investment Director will be responsible for cultivating and managing a strategic portfolio of international partners. This entails conducting rigorous diligence and making sound investment decisions to enable organizations to scale their impact. The director will represent the foundation externally, fostering relationships with peer funders and advancing the organization’s influence in line with its values. The role requires international travel, market insights, and building trust with partner organizations to achieve sustained growth and social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a high-impact, venture-stage grant portfolio to accelerate disproportionate impact.
  • Manage a diversified portfolio of over 25 strategic grant partners, focusing on excellence and maximizing impact.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and make incisive investment recommendations aligned with strategic values.
  • Provide thought partnership to partners to assist in their scale journey and deliver disciplined partnership exits.
  • Develop deep pattern recognition across focus areas, identifying strategic opportunities.
  • Cultivate expert relationships to position partners for strategic funding growth.
  • Serve as an effective external representative and advance the foundation’s reputation and influence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in growth-stage organizational leadership, venture philanthropy, or social impact investing.
  • MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Strong pattern recognition skills and the ability to interpret organizational financial statements.
  • International experience and cross-cultural fluency required.
  • Proficiency in French speaking and writing strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Google Suite, Excel, and CRM platforms.
  • Commitment to the foundation’s non-sectarian Christian values and mission-driven approach.
