About this Role

Tikehau Capital is seeking an Investment Associate to join its Private Equity department, focusing on its “Regenerative Agriculture” strategy. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing investment and management activities within this sector, leveraging their expertise to identify, analyze, and execute investment opportunities. The responsibilities will span from initial analysis to the execution phase, ensuring that each investment adheres to the firm’s strategic goals and delivers optimal performance. The role involves rigorous sector, strategic, and financial analysis, requiring diligence in preparing investment memoranda and active participation in investment committees. The associate will play a key role in negotiating deals and overseeing due diligence processes. This includes building financial models, conducting scenario analysis, and managing complex financial structures. The associate will facilitate deal flow, submitting qualified opportunities for committee review while adhering to Tikehau Capital’s investment protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sector, strategic, and financial analysis of targeted companies.
  • Build financial models and perform scenario analysis on company business plans.
  • Write investment memos and participate in the investment committee process.
  • Be part of the negotiation phases.
  • Participate in due diligence and structuring phases of operations.
  • Take part in the execution phases of transactions.
  • Analyze incoming deal flow and submit it to the investment committee.
  • Participate in ad hoc investment committees.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience in investment funds, investment banking, strategy consulting, or corporate M&A on small or midcap transactions.
  • Experience in analysis and execution of all types of deals.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, preferably with previous experience in managing complex financial models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with key stakeholders internally and externally with a wide range of seniority.
  • Exposure/experience in the Regenerative Agriculture sector is a plus.
