ImpactAlpha, April 17 – The UK-based startup makes modular refrigeration units to help farms and agribusinesses reduce crop losses from pests, heat and other factors. The company offers two-year financing to help farmers and agribusinesses purchase its systems.
- Second slug… The €2.5 million ($3.1 million) raise is additional to the company’s €1.65 million raise ($1.78 million at the time) a year ago.
- The combined financing was backed by… Paris-based Energy Access Ventures, PYMWYMIC, Factor(E) Ventures, and the Doen Foundation and the Montpelier Foundation.
About 30% of Africa’s and Asia’s agricultural output is lost after harvest, according to McKinsey. “Logistics, trade, and processing infrastructure are critical bottlenecks.”
