About this Role
Business Partners Limited is seeking an experienced and passionate ESG and Impact Investing Manager to lead the integration of environmental, social, governance, and transformation principles across our investment activities. In this strategic role, you will ensure that ESG and impact considerations are embedded in the full investment lifecycle – from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio monitoring, reporting, and capacity-building interventions for SMEs. Based in our Houghton Estate office, the successful candidate will work with various internal teams and external partners, building relationships to enhance our impact reporting capabilities. You will position Business Partners Limited as leaders in SME impact investing through participation in sector forums and developing advocacy programs to support SMEs with essential business, social, environmental, and legislative knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of ESG reporting frameworks to ensure credible sustainability disclosures.
- Drive the integration of ESG criteria and transformation initiatives into core business functions.
- Develop ESG scoring models and monitoring tools for credit analysis and portfolio reviews.
- Build relationships with DFIs, donors, regulators, and public/private sector partners.
- Manage SME technical assistance and mentorship programs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in ESG due diligence, sustainability, or responsible investing.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and practical application of the IFC Performance Standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Power BI.
- Good stakeholder management and business writing skills.
