About this Role
Kiva is looking for a passionate and driven Investment Manager to join its Impact Investments team. This role will be essential in advancing Kiva’s mission of creating a financially inclusive world by managing debt investments in high-impact social enterprises, primarily in Latin America. The successful candidate will develop strong partnerships, conduct rigorous due diligence of potential investments, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future trajectory of the Social Enterprise program. Operating in a globally distributed, collaborative environment, this role demands an analytical mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to social impact. The position requires frequent travel and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and contexts.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with potential and existing investees.
- Monitor investments for compliance and performance.
- Identify and recruit new social enterprise partners.
- Conduct due diligence for potential investments.
- Participate in negotiations on investment terms.
- Assist in onboarding new investees and update stakeholders.
- Serve as a representative of Kiva at industry events.
- Provide expert guidance on local market conditions.
- Support drafting of transaction documents.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- Technical experience in lending/investing in private companies.
- 5+ years of experience in Investment Management or similar fields.
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- Willing to travel 20% of the time.
- Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks.
- Tech savvy and proficient in office software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
