About this Role

The Impact Associate at CGC will play a crucial role in furthering the organization’s mission by supporting impact diligence, portfolio management, and market development activities. Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Impact and Investments, the Associate will contribute to impact assessments and investment diligence, maintain portfolio performance data, engage with developers and community stakeholders, and advance research that informs CGC’s investment and market development strategies. Additionally, the role involves supporting the integration of Customer and Impact teams into organizational systems like CRM and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Director of Impact and Investments in conducting impact diligence on prospective investments.
  • Contribute to transaction scoring and impact evaluation processes.
  • Review project data, developer materials, and diligence responses.
  • Prepare impact memoranda, transaction summaries, and Investment Committee materials.
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks integrating community benefits, economic outcomes, and GHG reduction into investment strategies.
  • Provide assistance and technical support to developers considering CGC financing.
  • Research trends and opportunities affecting rural, Tribal, and LIDAC communities.
  • Support the Environmental Justice Advisory Committee with data and progress updates.
  • Ensure Customer and Impact Team’s integration into organizational systems like Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience or equivalent education and directly related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in impact investing, climate finance, economic development, or related fields.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in climate solutions in LIDAC communities.
