About this Role

Kiva is at an inflection point, poised to expand its impact investing capacity and significantly increase capital flow to underserved communities around the globe. The Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing strategies that drive Kiva’s philanthropic revenue growth and cultivate robust, enduring partnerships. As a high-impact leader, this position demands a visionary who can transform Kiva’s vast offerings into a cohesive plan. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee fundraising strategies and initiatives, build a capable team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to tap into new opportunities. The EVP will also exemplify Kiva externally, forging strong relationships with major funders and stakeholders while reinforcing the organization’s credibility on a global stage.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall fundraising strategy and execution across foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and corporates.
  • Focus on identifying and creating new pathways for fundraising, beyond existing channels.
  • Build a fundraising program that targets reaching $10M+ annually.
  • Set strategic direction, develop a strong pipeline, and guide the team to achieve robust fundraising goals.
  • Establish repeatable systems to ensure consistent development and closure of opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Impact Investing, Finance, and Technology teams to pursue cross-functional opportunities.
  • Set and uphold high performance standards within the team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Represent Kiva on the global stage, building and maintaining relationships with key funders and partners.

Requirements

  • Strong mission-driven orientation with integrity and a strong ethical compass.
  • Ability to lead with authenticity, building trust with partners and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in nonprofit fundraising and/or partnerships, managing programs approaching or exceeding $10M annually.
  • Extensive senior team leadership and executive-level experience, including board interactions.
  • Experience in impact investing or blended finance is advantageous.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the creativity to translate ideas into successful programs.
  • Strong teamwork skills, prioritizing collective success over individual credit.
  • Storyteller capable of building genuine, long-term partnerships.
