About this Role

Neuberger Berman is committed to sustainability as a key driver of long-term investment returns. The Equity Impact team collaborates with global clients to achieve attractive investment performance while advancing client impact objectives through listed equity portfolios. This role is suited for an experienced professional in investment research, investment banking, asset management, or accounting/valuation with a focus on sustainable outcomes. The successful candidate will be a crucial member of the team, involved in deep fundamental research and stock selection in consultation with senior portfolio managers. They will closely collaborate with the Global Equity Research and Data Science groups to identify top investment recommendations and industry trends. This role includes an expectation to conduct fundamental and sustainability due diligence on potential investments, engage with portfolio holdings, and report sustainable outcomes. The Research Analyst will provide insights that shape the portfolio while contributing to position sizing, risk assessments, diversification, and monitoring exposures.

Responsibilities

  • Drive stock selection through research coverage and recommendations.
  • Collaboratively contribute to portfolio construction.
  • Generate investment ideas and conduct due diligence on potential investments.
  • Engage with portfolio holdings and report on sustainable outcomes.
  • Shape the portfolio by influencing position sizing, risk assessment, and diversification.
  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation assessments.
  • Maintain regular communication with management teams and industry experts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in investment banking, sell-side, or buy-side research in equities.
  • Strong fundamental research skills, including deep-dive company analysis and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with sustainable investing and industry frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • FINRA series qualifications and professional certifications such as CFA are helpful.
