About this Role
The Director of Impact Investing at The Denver Foundation is responsible for leading the foundation’s impact investing strategy. This role encompasses sourcing, underwriting, executing, and monitoring impact investments, ensuring they generate both social impact and financial returns. The Director will work closely with foundation leadership, donors, and external partners to align investments with the foundation’s mission and to ensure a robust investment portfolio. Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and execution of impact investments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of investments, including due diligence, closing, and ongoing monitoring.
- Develop and maintain financial and impact performance metrics.
- Prepare investment recommendations for foundation leadership and the Board of Trustees.
- Support the deployment and management of the foundation’s Impact Investing Pool.
- Ensure strong asset quality and compliance with the foundation’s investment philosophy.
- Steward relationships with donors and facilitate the alignment of investments with donor interests.
- Build relationships with other foundations and partners to expand impact.
- Partner with communications and data teams to enhance impact reporting and storytelling.
- Advance the foundation’s racial equity commitments through investment practices.
Requirements
