About this Role

The Specialist, Private Sector Engagement at WWF plays a pivotal role in collaborating with more than 100 leading companies to drive environmental improvements and business benefits. This position works under the guidance of the PSE Leadership to support corporate partnerships and stakeholder engagements. The specialist focuses on enhancing sustainability through WWF’s partnerships, crafting communications that articulate the organization’s objectives, and providing research and strategy support for significant initiatives and leadership priorities. In this role, the specialist will undertake dual responsibilities that encompass strategic support to the Private Sector Engagement’s senior leadership and operational support for daily team functions. The responsibilities vary between delivering special projects, coordinating research and data analysis, and ensuring operational efficiency within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides project management support and leadership across the department to support special projects and strategic priorities.
  • Conducts research and data analysis for WWF’s corporate partnership portfolio.
  • Drafts research-based communications to present recommendations and data analysis.
  • Tracks and monitors key metrics for existing corporate partnerships.
  • Develops tools, processes, and presentations related to corporate sustainability performance.
  • Prepares materials, analyses, reports, and presentations for meetings.
  • Conducts research and planning for events and meetings.
  • Supports relationship management with corporate partners.
  • Engages with high-level contacts of a complex nature both internally and externally.
  • Supervises the work of interns and other staff or consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience (or an advanced degree with 2 plus years’ experience).
  • Knowledge of corporate sustainability reporting, GHG accounting, or sustainability performance measurement frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Teams, SharePoint; experience with Airtable and Monday.com a plus.
  • Exceptional executive communications skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Experience in research projects, external partnerships, and event planning.
