About this Role

The Associate Impact Manager (AIM) plays a crucial role in the Impact Management Team at BlueOrchard. This position demands a proactive individual ready to manage Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts and impact assessments. Reporting to the Head of Impact Management, the AIM will handle tasks independently, ensuring familiarity with the firm’s business model. Key areas include performing impact and ESG assessments at both the investee and portfolio levels, enhancing management practices, and contributing to the development of ESG tools and reporting systems. As part of the fast-growing team based in Tbilisi, Georgia, the AIM will conduct thorough due diligence to maintain high standards in impact and ESG assessments. By participating in the expansion and enhancement of existing frameworks, the AIM will significantly impact the growth and development of BlueOrchard’s investment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of the B. Impact framework on new and existing initiatives.
  • Contribute to ESG and impact assessments across asset classes.
  • Conduct annual ESG and impact monitoring assessments.
  • Establish engagement actions based on due diligence findings.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual ESG and impact reporting cycles.
  • Lead the collection and reporting for compliance with ESG regulations.
  • Produce information for certifications and verifications.
  • Enhance ESG/impact management practices across sectors.
  • Support coordination of team activities for efficient task execution.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate Degree in finance, business, economics, or related fields with a focus on sustainability or impact.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in investment or sustainability roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of ESG and impact management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; French, Spanish, or German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
