About the fund

The Agricultural Commodity Transformation Fund provides debt financing and technical assistance to small and medium-sized agricultural businesses across Africa, Latin America, and Asia, targeting sustainable improvements in farm productivity and environmental outcomes. The fund has completed its first close at $40 million and aims to raise $75 million by the end of 2026, with plans to deploy capital across approximately 70 investments that will reach an estimated 275,000 farmers. Its investment thesis centers on commodity production systems that restore soil health, enhance biodiversity, and increase carbon sequestration while improving farmer livelihoods and operational resilience. By combining blended finance structures with on-the-ground technical support, the fund addresses market gaps in agricultural finance for smallholder and emerging commercial producers in developing markets. The fund targets development finance institutions and institutional investors seeking exposure to sustainable agriculture and climate adaptation in emerging geographies.
