About this Role

The Senior Associate, Impact Fund for Children plays a significant role in advancing UNICEF USA’s innovative financial solutions aimed at promoting children’s welfare globally. The Impact Fund develops and implements financial strategies, such as the Bridge Fund, Catalytic Fund, and Child-lens Investing, to accelerate funding and address capital gaps. This dynamic and entrepreneurial team requires a Senior Associate to support investment and operational activities. The role demands a keen eye for financial elements such as modeling, diligence, and monitoring, while also engaging in institutional interactions like board communications and investor relations. The successful candidate will navigate the intersections of finance, social impact, and nonprofit operations. They will work directly with leadership to influence strategic decisions impacting fund management and operations. The position also includes exposure to high-level investor communications, ensuring transparency and engagement with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modeling and analytical efforts across the Impact Fund portfolio.
  • Monitor financial and impact performance across active investments.
  • Support transaction execution, including diligence and preparation of committee materials.
  • Maintain pipeline and portfolio management systems.
  • Facilitate fund administration and compliance with ongoing obligations.
  • Support board operations by preparing agendas and materials for meetings.
  • Manage project-related invoices, contracts, and expenses.
  • Develop and execute investor reports and presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of investment banking or related experience.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling and investment structuring.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and data visualization with strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
