About this Role
The Global Green Growth Institute is seeking a consultant for the development of the National International Cooperation for Development Strategy 2026-2029 in Paraguay. This role involves collaborating with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) in Paraguay to manage international cooperation efficiently in alignment with national policies. The consultant will be responsible for constructing a guiding document for international development cooperation, with a focus on integrating climate finance mechanisms into national strategies. The consultant will lead consultations with key stakeholders within the international cooperation ecosystem, align strategic goals with global trends, and oversee the documentation process for the strategy’s official adoption. This position requires someone with a strong background in international cooperation and experience in managing strategic frameworks for development.
Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed work plan and methodology for creating the National ICD Strategy 2026-2029.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with MEF and other partners.
- Coordinate cross-cutting alignment with regional and global trends.
- Draft and finalize the National ICD Strategy document for approval and official adoption.
- Support validation processes with MEF and prepare the document for publication.
Requirements
- University degree in economics, international relations, or related fields.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in international cooperation or development.
- 5-8 years professional experience in relevant fields.
- Knowledge of Paraguay’s planning and international cooperation systems.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.
