About this Role

The Associate Director of Agriculture Finance will play a pivotal role in addressing global conservation challenges through innovative financial solutions. You will join a dynamic team to help scale the work of the Innovative Finance for the Amazon, Cerrado, and Chaco (IFACC) initiative, which mobilizes financial solutions to reduce deforestation linked to agricultural production. In this role, you will support the Director of Agriculture Finance to build a new global initiative founded on the success of IFACC and Catalytic Capital for the Agricultural Transition (CCAT) in Latin America. You will be instrumental in engaging with financial institutions, supply chain companies, and catalytic capital providers to promote sustainable agricultural practices worldwide. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead key projects and direct strategies within the global agriculture finance initiative, collaborating with TNC global teams, UNEP, WEF, and other partners. You will contribute to designing and implementing strategies that align with TNC’s 2030 goals and mission to create a sustainable future for our planet.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key projects and direct strategies within the global agriculture finance initiative.
  • Collaborate with TNC global teams and partners to design and implement financial solutions.
  • Support the Director of Agriculture Finance to scale IFACC and CCAT principles globally.
  • Engage with financial institutions and stakeholders to promote deforestation-free agriculture.
  • Participate in the IFACC Steering Group to coordinate strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in a private sector environment or equivalent.
  • Experience in leading and managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing complex projects in an unstructured environment.
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • MBA or similar degree with significant coursework in finance or economics preferred.
