About this Role
IDB Invest is seeking a Senior Associate for the Financial Institutions Sector in the Southern Cone Region. This pivotal role involves managing business and client engagements, focusing on transaction origination, structuring, and negotiation with banks and non-bank financial institutions. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in fostering partnerships, conducting market analyses, and collaborating with internal teams to execute transactions in line with IDB Invest’s operational policies and development objectives. Responsibilities
- Support project teams in the origination, structuring, negotiation, approval, and closing of transactions with financial institutions.
- Contribute to the transaction approval process across different levels of management.
- Participate in due diligence processes and client negotiations.
- Review and analyze financial statements and perform financial analyses.
- Ensure internal systems and documentation are up to date.
- Support the financial closing process through stakeholder coordination.
- Build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Conduct sector and industry research and prepare project- and sector-related materials.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or International Development.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a financial analyst/associate.
- Languages: Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Citizenship: Must be eligible to work in the job location without sponsorship.
- Consanguinity: No immediate family members working within IDB Group entities.
