About this Role

Join the team as an Asset Manager at Atlantica, where you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of renewable energy assets, including wind, solar PV, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the UK. This role focuses on optimizing asset performance and managing commercial agreements to maximize returns. You will lead operational and financial oversight with limited supervision, analyze performance issues, and develop strategies for risk mitigation. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for each asset. You will also work with technical teams to implement operational strategies for future assets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary asset manager for operational onshore wind assets.
  • Lead operational and financial oversight with limited supervision.
  • Analyze and resolve performance issues alongside technical and commercial teams.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for each asset.
  • Collaborate with Technical & Engineering teams for operational transition for future assets.
  • Manage accurate reporting using Atlantica’s systems and deliver performance reports.
  • Maintain health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Oversee key third-party contracts and manage critical service provider relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with market requirements and third-party agreements.
  • Support contract negotiations for future construction assets.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across asset optimization and risk management.
  • Develop and implement new initiatives to maximize asset performance.
  • Lead integration of new technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Finance, or related field.
  • Asset management or finance certification desirable.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record in asset management.
  • Expertise in commercial, technical, financial, and risk management.
  • Experience with asset management platforms and continuous improvement tools.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical judgment and multitasking ability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
