About the fund

Launched in November 2021, Ocean 14 Capital Fund I SCSp's vision is a healthy ocean for everyone through a sustainable and regenerative blue economy, partnering with ocean businesses at the cutting edge of sustainable aquaculture, alternatives to fish protein, sustainable fisheries, marine flora, and circular plastics. The fund reached its hard cap of €200 million following a final close, with large institutional investors including Nestlé, making it the largest dedicated blue economy fund at close. The fund targets late-stage venture and early-stage growth companies with proven business models at the beginning of the growth stage, which can be transformed into tech-enabled, scalable, and regenerative growth platforms through equity investment and operational value-add. Impact is a key metric holding equal weight to financial performance across the investment process, guided by ten impact principles and requiring all investments to make a demonstrable contribution to SDG 14 and do no significant harm. As of the 2024 impact report, the fund is invested in 16 companies across its five verticals.
