

The EIB is the world’s largest multilateral lender and is owned by the European Union’s member states. Based in Luxembourg, the EIB finances projects that further EU policy goals such as job creation, climate action, innovation, infrastructure, and regional development. It raises funds on the international capital markets, lending primarily within the EU (around 90% of volume) but also supporting projects worldwide.
