BDC Capital is the wholly-owned investment subsidiary of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), Canada's only bank dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs. As a federal Crown corporation reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, BDC was originally established in 1944 as the Industrial Development Bank, an arm of the Bank of Canada.
