About the fund

Dementia Discovery Fund 2 (DDF-2) is the second vehicle in SV Health Investors' Dementia Discovery Fund family — the world's largest suite of specialized venture capital funds investing exclusively in companies developing or enabling novel therapeutics for dementia — reaching a final close of $269M in May 2025, bringing total capital raised across the DDF strategy to over $550M. The fund will build a final portfolio of 10 to 15 companies primarily across the US, UK, and Europe, combining direct investment in innovative biotech companies with active company creation — half of the existing DDF portfolio companies were built by DDF itself, with over 50 programs currently underway across the portfolio. The fund is managed by a PhD-trained investment team drawing on a network of venture partners with over 200 years of collective neuroscience R&D experience.
