About this Role

One Acre Fund is seeking a seasoned banking professional to take on the role of Global Investor Relations Manager. The successful candidate will join the Investor Relations team, which is pivotal in managing the organization’s debt requirements and fostering relationships with financial institutions. As part of this role, you will take charge of structuring loans and raising working capital from banks and innovative capital providers. You will collaborate closely with the Investor Relations Director and be a senior figure within a humble but high-impact team focused on debt and liquidity management. This position demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the financial landscape in Africa, who can effectively negotiate and close complex funding deals.

Responsibilities

  • Source and structure working capital financing deals from African banks and commercial financing actors.
  • Lead One Acre Fund’s platform for local currency financing and structured working capital debt products.
  • Spearhead the Investor Relations team’s presence in Sub-Saharan Africa by participating in relevant events and leading investor visits.
  • Contribute to discussions regarding capital structure, liquidity monitoring, and risk management.
  • Assist in financial analysis, proposals, and external reporting tasks.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in structuring loans.
  • Proven track record of originating and structuring loans in the seven to eight-figure range.
  • Experience in independently managing the full debt raising cycle.
  • Strong relationship skills with both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities in Excel.
  • Strong networks within the banking and investment community in Africa.
