About this Role

The Senior Director, Growth and Impact plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the Rainforest Alliance. Reporting to the Chief Growth and Impact Officer (CGIO), this position serves as a trusted advisor and Chief of Staff, coordinating strategic priorities and ensuring effective cross-functional alignment across global teams spanning the Americas, Africa, and Asia. This position provides a unique opportunity to influence the translation of programs into policy and funding, enhancing real-world outcomes in forest, climate, and community initiatives. As a key leader, the Senior Director will connect the strategic dots between science, programs, and regional development to drive impactful changes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CGIO to set priorities and execute strategic plans for business growth and social impact.
  • Identify and address risks, bottlenecks, and misalignments proactively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for social and environmental challenges.
  • Develop and integrate funding pipelines informed by programmatic strategies.
  • Support the CGIO in donor engagement, providing strategic framework and briefing materials.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities aligned with organizational policies.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and producer centricity.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, International Development, or related field.
  • 15 years of relevant experience with at least 10 years in senior roles within international organizations.
  • Proven experience as Chief of Staff, Deputy Director, or equivalent role in a multi-regional setting.
  • Experience in program-to-funding cycles in a donor-funded environment.
  • Commitment to the Rainforest Alliance’s goals in conservation, climate change mitigation, and human rights.
  • Direct experience with producers and/or forest communities.
  • Strong competencies in leadership, strategic thinking, adaptability, and organizational skills.
