About this Role

The Managing Director, Renewables at Blue Orb LP is pivotal in establishing and strengthening relationships with renewable developers. This role is tasked with identifying promising opportunities for advisory and funding services in nascent power projects. Leading a team, the Managing Director will drive deal sourcing, nurture relationships, and close agreements for renewable projects. The role requires collaboration with company management, ensuring adherence to operational compliance and performance standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing capital investments and managing investor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Train, lead, and inspire a team of finance professionals and enhance collaboration with technical teams.
  • Develop and execute investment strategies for renewable energy projects globally.
  • Support financial analysis and due diligence to assess potential investments.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with developers, funds, and government entities.
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge to inform investment decisions.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of renewable energy assets.
  • Lead negotiations and execute complex financing transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Create robust financial models and assess risk management strategies.
  • Drive sustainable growth in the renewable energy sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, CFA, CAIA).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in banking or asset management.
  • Experience in renewable project development and investment banking.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of financial concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Commitment to training and developing team members.
  • Must have access to reliable internet and dedicated work computer.
