About this Role
Inua Capital is seeking an Investment Manager to take a leading role in managing investments across the Fund’s target sectors. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial judgment, transaction execution skills, and portfolio management experience. Collaborating closely with entrepreneurs and senior management, the role is crucial for implementing the Fund’s investment strategy and mentoring team members. The Investment Manager will actively contribute to strategic developments and institutional credibility, ensuring high standards of professionalism and integrity are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and develop high-quality investment opportunities aligned with the Fund’s strategy.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Conduct preliminary screening and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and returns analysis.
- Execute investments from evaluation through to deal closure.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support operational improvements.
- Develop exit strategies for portfolio investments.
- Ensure all investments adhere to governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Help build and train the investment team, mentoring junior members.
- Contribute to talent development and firm-wide strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 6 years’ experience in East African private equity or similar fields.
- Strong financial modeling skills and executive presence.
- Exceptional communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- A strong motivation to grow in the African private investment ecosystem.
