Circular economy. Circulate Capital raised $220 million in a first close for its second Asia fund, targeting plastic waste recycling infrastructure across the region… Closed Loop Partners took a majority stake in Sutter Metals, a Seattle company recovering copper, brass and aluminum from electronic and industrial waste.
AI and tech. Barcelona’s Galtea raised $3.2 million to help enterprises test AI agents for vulnerabilities before deployment… Nature Robots, a spin-off from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, raised €4 million ($4.6 million) to deploy autonomous field robots with precision laser weeding for organic and regenerative farms.
Investing in health. OpenUp secured €20 million ($23 million) to scale its employee mental health platform across Europe… Boston’s Clasp raised $20 million to help healthcare employers attract and retain clinicians through student loan repayment tied to tenure.
Latin America. IDB Invest approved a $48.8 million loan to Colombia’s Banco Mundo Mujer to expand access to finance for women-owned and small businesses. Quito-based Impaqto Capital incubated the Amazon Andes Fund to back cacao, specialty coffee and natural ingredient processors and exporters in the Andean Amazon. The Green Climate Fund invested $85 million in Sustainable Investment Management’s Responsible Commodities Facility, which promotes sustainable soy production in Brazil.
