Agrifood investing. ALIVE Ventures backed GoodSAM to support regenerative farms in Latin America and Africa… Germany’s Foodforecast raised €3 million to help food businesses minimize food waste through sales forecasting and inventory optimization… Lisbon-based The Land Group launched a €120 million investment fund to acquire, regenerate and manage farmland in South America… Malaysia’s Qarbotech raised $1.5 million for its crop additive that helps farmers boost yields while sequestering more carbon in their soil… Zebra Impact Ventures invested in AgroSpheres, which is developing biological crop treatments as an alternative to chemical pesticides.

Clean energy. Greenhouse Gas Reduction funds began to flow with $32 million loan for Arkansas solar project… Munich-based Marvel Fusion raised $70 million to support its advanced laser-based fusion technology… Sweden’s Polarium, which develops battery storage for residential and industrial users, raised $49 million.

Climate finance. ADB committed $25 million to a climate bond to finance green projects in India… DCVC raised over $300 million for its first climate fund.

Financial inclusion. LeapFrog Investments notched a partial exit from Northern Arc, a lender for low-income households and businesses in India that LeapFrog first backed in 2014… Suma landed $3.8 million and acquired Mooch to promote financial inclusion for US Latinos… The US International Development Finance Corp. and Citi provided $320 million to CRDB Bank to improve access to finance for small businesses in Tanzania and Burundi. A portion is earmarked for women-led businesses.

Fund news. Ibtikar raised $25 million to invest in Palestinian startups… A to Z Impact, an impact first investor, backed housing nonprofit Enterprise’s Renter Wealth Creation Fund… Morgan Stanley Investment Management raised $750 million for growth-stage companies in the mobility, energy, sustainable food, agriculture and circular economy sectors. 

Green infrastructure. Amsterdam-based EV charging startup Pluq secured a €50 million line of credit… Dhamana secured $14.6 million to mobilize capital for sustainable infrastructure in East Africa… South Africa’s Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Managers secured $15 million to invest in African infrastructure projects.

Impact management. German ESG software startup Atlas Metrics clinched €12.2 million in Series A funding… Briink, also in Germany, snagged €3.8 million for AI-powered ESG and sustainability management.

Independent news. Indiegraf, a Canadian publishing platform for independent journalists and news organizations, raised $2.2 million.

Investing in health. Gurgaon-based Lissun scored $2.5 million to expand mental health access in India.

Youth development. Resolution Project folded Enactus Global into its operations, creating one of the largest nonprofits focused on socially responsible youth leadership and entrepreneurship.
