Affordable housing. American South Capital Partners raised $60 million for affordable housing in the southern US.
Blue economy. Katapult Ocean, Alwyn Capital, DMV Capital and the Georgetown Angel Investment Network invested in North Carolina-based cultivated seafood company Atlantic Fish.
Clean energy. Crossboundary Energy, which develops rural minigrids and solar systems for industrial clients in Africa, received a fresh $200 million in senior debt from Standard Bank… Cambodian renewable energy developer SchneiTec raised $124 million to finance a 150-megawatt solar + battery plant in the country’s eastern Pursat Province… Temasek backed Amperesand’s next-gen power infrastructure… Kuppa, an energy efficiency software company based in London, was acquired by UK-based energy supplier and investor Octopus Energy Group… Brazil-based Quartzo invested 6.5 million reais in Solan, a software company that supports solar system operators with remote management… ReNew Energy Global clinched $331 million in debt from the Asian Development Bank for a planned solar, wind and battery project in Andhra Pradesh, India… AFRIGREEN Debt Impact Fund provided €15 million in senior debt to SolarX, a commercial and industrial solar developer… Norfund made a $75 million investment in Mulilo, a South African renewable energy developer… South Africa-based SolarSaver, a provider of solar-powered cold-storage systems, secured $60 million in a round led by Inspired Evolution’s climate impact fund.
Education and skills. Temasek Trust-backed Amplifier selected three companies for its employment social enterprise accelerator: BagoSphere, which provides career development support to frontline workers; DeafTawk, an online community and resources provider for deaf individuals; and Inclus, which provides skills training and employment connections for people with disabilities.
Financial inclusion. OneLot raised seed funding to bridge vehicle financing gaps in the Philippines.
Financing farmers. Mirova invested $30 million to help more than 300,000 farmers in India adopt regenerative techniques… Tractor Junction snagged $22.6 million to mechanize farming in India.
Impact tech. RapidSOS netted $100 million for real-time AI for emergency responders… London-based Vyntelligence raised a $30 million in Series B equity for its AI-powered video surveillance for utility and telecommunications system maintenance… TPG Rise Climate bought Pike to modernize US electricity grids… FedEx, Capricorn Investment Group’s Technology Impact Fund and vehicle maker THOR Industries led a $160 million Series C round for California-based electric truck maker Harbinger… Singapore’s Anomaly Bio raised $2.6 million in a round led by San Francisco-based Pebblebed Ventures to make biological ingredients for crop protection, nutrition and cosmetics.
Investing in health. New Catalyst Strategic Partners announced a strategic partnership with New York-based healthcare private equity firm Ironleaf Capital… House Rx secured $55 million in a Series B round led by New Enterprise Associates and Town Hall Ventures to make specialty medications more accessible and affordable for patients.
Low-carbon transition. Denver-based Endolith raised $13.5 million to use microbes and AI to extract copper and other critical minerals from low-grade ore for data centers, EVs and military systems… FMC raised €100 million from HV Capital and DeepTech & Climate Fonds for its energy-efficient memory chips… Sahara Impact Ventures invested in Wahu Mobility, which assembles new e-bikes and converts traditional bicycles into e-bikes for buyers in Ghana and Togo.
