The Week’s Dealflow: May 15, 2026

Affordable housing. Canada-based Edmonton Community Foundation allocated $20 million for low-interest affordable housing loans via its Social Enterprise Fund… RDF’s Pivot Fund secured a $7 million program-related investment and a $1 million grant from The California Endowment to finance community-based housing, education and healthcare organizations.

Agriculture. Nairobi-based Apollo Agriculture raised $2.5 million via Kaleidofin’s platform, in an agriculture securitization deal backed by IDH Farmfit Fund… French development bank Proparco provided a €75 million ($88 million) line of credit to Ameriabank to finance smart agriculture and small businesses in Armenia… 

Artificial intelligence. San Francisco-based Wisdom Ventures raised $77 million for its second fund, to back early-stage startups using AI for health, wellness and human connection.

Circularity. Trillium Renewable Chemicals scored $13 million in Series B funding to manufacture bio-based acrylonitrile, an alternative to a fossil fuel-based ingredient used in making carbon fiber, plastic, textiles and other materials… Beneficial Returns made impact-linked loans to two waste collection and recycling companies: Colombia-based Ciklo and Honduras-based Recyproco.

Clean mobility. South Africa-based fund manager Ninety One arranged a $142.9 million debt package for Doha-based Green Sky Capital, to set up a sustainable fuel production plant in Egypt…. Boston-based Chestnut Run Capital Partners offered a senior-secured loan to Dollaride to electrify New York City’s informal dollar-van network and other public transportation operating in the city’s transit deserts. 

Conservation. New York City-based Trimtab Impact invested in Amazonia Impact Ventures’ debut fund, which provides impact-linked loans to cooperatives, producer associations and other businesses across the Amazon bioeconomy… New York-based Econcrete secured $14 million from Builders Vision, Barclays Climate Ventures, Monaco’s ReOcean Fund, Open Road Impact and other investors for its building concrete that can be used in marine infrastructure projects while fostering healthy habitats for ocean wildlife.

Energy transition. S2G Investments raised $1 billion for its first Solutions Fund to make growth-stage investments in companies in North America and Europe advancing the energy transition, marine transport, industrial electrification and food systems… Cygnum Capital secured $40 million from the International Finance Corp. for its Facility for Energy Inclusion, a debt fund it manages that supports solar home systems, minigrids and commercial and industrial renewable energy installations in Africa.

Financial inclusion. Brazilian fintech startup Franq raised $12.4 million in a Series B round from Valor Capital Group, Quona Capital and Globo Ventures to expand access to banking and credit in Brazil.

Healthcare. J&J Impact Ventures, the impact investing arm of Johnson & Johnson Foundation invested in Brazilian healthtech investor DNA Capital’s second venture fund to expand access to care in the country’s fragmented healthcare system.

Infrastructure finance. Proparco joined as a new LP in Acre Impact Capital’s first fund, which makes equity investments in African infrastructure projects.

Ownership economy. Evergreen Cooperatives’ Fund for Employee Ownership acquired Ohio-based North Coast Sign and Lighting, and will transition ownership of the company to its workers… Hint, a startup supported by Martha Stewart, raised $10 million in seed funding from Slow Ventures, Energy Impact Partners and others. The company’s home system helps homeowners manage energy bills, insurance, maintenance and repairs.

Valuing Aging. Houston-based Rosarium Health raised $6 million in seed capital to low- or middle-income seniors in the US age at home… Utah-based Enzo Health raised $20 million in Series A financing from N47, Gradient, Tandem Ventures and Rigby Watts to meet surging demand for in-home care for aging adults in the US… Kalos Ventures landed $78.8 million from Sorenson Impact Advisory, Melinda French Gates’ Pivotal Ventures and others to back solutions for aging populations and the reshaping of jobs by AI.
