Agrifood investing. Paris-based agtech startup ReSoil secured €4 million from French investors to scale its platform helping farmers transition to regenerative agriculture. 

Clean energy. Russell Family Foundation backed Galvanize’s energy transition fund… Funds managed by CBRE Investment Management acquired distributed energy infrastructure owner Charlotte-based ClearGen Holdings… India-based Transition VC closed its debut fund to invest in energy transition and deep-tech startups… Singapore’s Quantified Energy, a software company for solar asset monitoring, raised $6 million… Sun King secured a $40 million equity investment from Lightrock for off-grid solar expansion in Africa.

Financial inclusion. Esusu raised $50 million to help renters build credit history.

Fund news. UK-based impact investor Resonance launched a £10 million fund backed by Unity Trust Bank, Enterprise for Development and Ceniarth UK Foundation.

Green infrastructure. KKR and HASI added another $1 billion to their sustainable infrastructure co-investment strategy… Climate Fund Managers invested $86 million for water access in South Africa. 

Impact debt. RSF Social Finance issued more than $19 million in loans to seven mission-driven businesses.

Impact in private equity. Secha Capital expanded operator-investor model with investment in electronics maker Barracuda. 

Impact tech. SET Ventures led Oslo-based Spoor’s €8 million Series A round to expand AI-powered bird and bat monitoring for wind farm operators… India-based Aurassure raised 250 million rupees to provide real-time data on air pollution, heat stress, urban flooding and other climate risks… UK-based A&B Smart Materials, which makes biodegradable polymers for use in diapers, sanitary towels, skin care and other products, raised €1.7 million… SuperCircle, a software company helping retailers with waste management, raised $24 million.

Ownership economy. Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR Partners teamed up with Ownership Works on employee ownership initiatives at companies in GTCR’s portfolio.
