Partners Group starts $1 billion fund for SDG investing

ImpactAlpha, April 4 – Partners Group, a Switzerland-based investment firm, is extending its public-markets ESG strategies into private equity and debt. Partners Group’s Kevin Lu said in a statement that the new fund responds to client demand for “a mainstream private markets fund delivering quantifiable social and environmental impact.”

  • More than half… of Partners Group’s $74 billion in assets under management come from pension funds, which have growing interest in the 2030 global goals.
  • Partners Group reports… that its portfolio already includes $4 billion in investments that contribute to SDG No. 1 (no poverty), SDG No. 3 (good health and wellbeing), SDG No. 4 (education), SDG No. 7 (clean and affordable energy) or SDG No. 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure).
  • PG LIFE… will focus on the same goals, and will be split 75% equity and 25% debt, DealStreetAsia reports.
