About this Role

The Vice President, Inclusive Innovation will spearhead initiatives that leverage new technologies, like AI and data innovation, to promote inclusive growth. This role is critical in shaping the Center’s leadership in technology and influencing Mastercard’s technology strategies for greater impact. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Global Programs, this position includes managing a team focused on Impact Data Science. The VP is tasked with building internal tools and processes that harness data and emerging technologies effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a new inclusive innovation strategy to maintain and strengthen leadership in the tech for good space.
  • Actively participate in technical communities to influence trends, social impact use cases, and breakthroughs.
  • Cultivate opportunities for the Center to utilize technology for inclusive growth.
  • Drive strategies and teams that advance data science impact.
  • Institutionalize data-driven decision-making across the Center’s network.
  • Advise on social impact dimensions of data, AI, and cyber products and services.
  • Partner with sector leaders and policymakers to promote responsible data and AI practices.
  • Design and implement technical briefings and integrate insights into strategies.
  • Evaluate technology implementation risks and propose strategies to ensure growth.
  • Lead technical advising projects, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Enhance technological capabilities of the Center’s network, focusing on AI.
  • Utilize Mastercard’s human capital and technology for social impact.

Requirements

  • Data science expertise or equivalent experience.
  • Proven project leadership in innovation and product development.
  • Experience across public, private, and social sectors with a tech for good network.
  • Proficiency in machine learning and data mining with advanced tools (Python, R, SAS).
  • Ability to plan and execute strategic deployment of analytical systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Capability in translating complex data into insights.
  • Understanding of global privacy, data protection, and AI regulations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, including public speaking.
