About this Role

RSF Social Finance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate, Portfolio Management to join our dynamic team. The role involves managing a portfolio of existing commercial loan clients, with responsibilities including the proactive management of assigned RSF loans to monitor borrower compliance, underwrite renewals, and identify areas of risk. The Senior Associate will act as the primary point of contact and key financial advisor for the assigned borrowers. As a member of our team, you will work closely with the VP of Credit and Risk to evaluate borrowers’ long-term viability and performance, and proactively mitigate potential defaults and loan loss. This position requires a relational approach that excels in fostering genuine, long-term connections with borrowers, and involves regular engagement to ensure compliance and identify new opportunities. You will also play an integral role in credit project management and underwriting for loan renewals and increases of existing relationships. Additionally, you will support the Director of Credit & Risk with new business loan underwriting as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 20-30 loans, serving as the primary post-close contact for borrowers.
  • Conduct post-close review of loan terms and conditions to ensure compliance.
  • Collect and analyze financial and impact reporting for risk monitoring.
  • Perform site visits to assess borrowers’ financial health and collateral condition.
  • Address compliance issues and make recommendations on loan risk rating.
  • Proactively manage borrower delinquencies and develop action plans.
  • Underwrite loan renewals ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Attend Troubled Loan Committee meetings and track action items.
  • Compile quarterly loan portfolio reporting for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • COVER LETTER REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in commercial credit underwriting and administration.
  • Competency in credit and financial analysis, underwriting policies, and loan restructuring.
  • Familiarity with the social finance sector or social enterprises is preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and financial modeling.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
