About this Role
The Senior Associate, Content (Data & Intelligence) plays a crucial role at Convergence, contributing significantly to the organization’s qualitative data and intelligence offerings. This role involves managing the proprietary database of blended finance transactions and participating in the creation of significant knowledge products. The position requires a strategic approach to develop new knowledge creation opportunities and maintaining essential relationships within the field. The incumbent will not only support the production of public knowledge products like the annual State of Blended Finance reports but will also represent the organization at various external events. The individual must be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all content aligns with Convergence’s mission to redirect finance to needed regions under the sustainable development goals framework.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of Convergence’s proprietary database on historical blended finance transactions.
- Manage the end-to-end production of Convergence knowledge products, including conducting research and analysis.
- Contribute to annual State of Blended Finance reports and bespoke projects.
- Foster new knowledge creation and maintain relationships with funders.
- Provide data analysis with visualizations and presentations on various topics.
- Represent Convergence at external events and cultivate business opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects and promotional activities.
Requirements
- An advanced degree in business, finance, economics, international relations, or a related field.
- Minimum seven years of experience in research, financial services, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
- Experience in data collection, management, and visualization.
- Proficiency in tools like MS Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce.
