About this Role
The Managing Director of the Olamina Fund is tasked with spearheading its mission and financial performance. This role involves strategic growth, investor relations, and overseeing business operations. Responsibilities
- Finalize and manage Olamina’s fundraising campaign from investor cultivation to solicitation.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing and prospective investors.
- Solicit grants, recoverable grants, PRI investments, and other debt capital.
- Represent Olamina in national dialogues and serve as a thought leader.
- Support advancement of innovative models through collaborative investments.
- Collaborate with Candide Group to share impactful stories and lessons.
- Build and maintain relationships with the Community Advisory Board.
- Facilitate CAB’s engagement and investment participation.
- Lead and facilitate quarterly CAB meetings.
- Provide oversight for investor presentations and communications.
- Identify opportunities for collaborative learning with investors.
- Oversee investment origination and underwriting processes.
- Engage with strategic partners and CAB to identify investment opportunities.
- Represent Olamina at conferences to strengthen relationships.
- Conduct quarterly performance evaluation and reporting of loans and portfolio.
- Support institutions facing challenges through collaborative efforts.
Requirements
- Active in social and/or economic movement spaces.
- Experience in fund management strongly preferred.
- Experience with general business operations including budgeting and financial management.
- Experience with strategic planning and project management.
- Experience cultivating relationships with stakeholders and investors.
- Fundraising experience for multi-million-dollar organizations preferred.
- Experience managing early-stage organizations.
- Experience fostering a team toward successful results.
- Comfort working independently with high-quality standards.
- Public speaking and panel discussion experience is a plus.
