About this Role

The role of Manager, Financial Incentive Operations at Aceli Africa focuses on leveraging incentives as strategic tools to boost private-sector lending to agricultural SMEs. The successful candidate will oversee and refine Aceli Africa’s loan review and incentive payment systems, working closely with external stakeholders to enhance process efficiency via innovative technological solutions. The job demands skill in managing a team, ensuring operational excellence, process standardization, and workload adaptability, while actively incorporating feedback to improve services. The ideal manager will thrive in optimizing operational systems and lending systems while managing key internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead an efficient and effective incentive operations team.
  • Optimize the Salesforce platform to automate tasks and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with ICT partners to enhance the Salesforce facility’s scalability and resilience.
  • Design and maintain standardized and effective review and payment processes.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to analyze trends and streamline procedures.
  • Allocate resources strategically based on shifting demands while maintaining high standards.
  • Engage with partners to refine processes to improve service satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or operations management; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services operations within East African agricultural finance.
  • 8-10 years of experience in operations roles with a track record of process improvements.
  • Proven expertise in using data, analytics, and technology to enhance operational processes.
  • Skilled communicator with a history of building and leading effective operations teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed (10-20%).
