About this Role

The Director of Investor Relations at Closed Loop Partners will play a crucial role in supporting the firm’s mission to build the circular economy. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer & Head of Capital Partnerships, this role involves working with institutional, corporate, and family office investors, known as limited partners (LPs). The key responsibilities include capital formation, business development, relationship management, and investor communications. The Director will collaborate extensively with team members across various functions within the firm, including venture capital, private equity, and credit investment teams, to ensure excellent service delivery and communication with investors. The successful candidate will bring significant investment banking or investor relations experience and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain investor trust and satisfaction through delivering value and anticipating investors’ needs.
  • Manage business development, lead generation, and relationships with current and prospective investors, maintaining relevant data and information.
  • Execute pipeline management through the fund formation or deal lifecycle.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, ensuring high-quality communication in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Design, produce, and maintain investment strategy overviews and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for various client meetings, including fundraising, LPAC, Advisory Board, and regular deal flow meetings.
  • Produce written investor letters and video content, and prepare for in-person events with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality investor reporting in partnership with fund finance, impact measurement, and management teams.
  • Manage investor communications and reporting related to ongoing capital account administration.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external business partners to deliver excellent service.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including 2+ years in investment banking and investor relations roles at private equity or credit firms.
  • Expertise in investment management, operations, and fund accounting/reporting.
  • Proven ability to build relationships in client-facing functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with adaptability to evolving client needs.
  • Highly collaborative with an ability to influence outcomes within dynamic organizations.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Robust data analysis and visualization skills.
  • Exceptional presentation design and software skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Curiosity and interest in learning, researching, and organizing information.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and project management abilities.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Genuine personal interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
