The Netherlands Advisory Board on impact investing (NAB) is an independent, non-profit (ANBI) foundation aimed at accelerating the growth and improving the effectiveness of the impact investing market in the Netherlands. The organization focuses on raising awareness, addressing barriers, and increasing confidence in investing with impact. In a healthy impact investment ecosystem, investments and savings help solve social and environmental challenges while seeking financial returns. The NAB coordinates events, communication activities, and themed programs or working groups to achieve its goals. The organization is funded by subsidies and donations.
About this Role
Are you someone with an interest in impact investing and/or sustainable finance and possess excellent organizational skills? Join us and make a meaningful contribution! We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern to support our team with various new and ongoing working groups for a period of at least 6 months. We offer the opportunity to gain practical experience. In a small team, we help each other where we can, allowing you to discover and develop various skills.
Responsibilities
- Supporting ongoing projects and working groups.
- Managing and maintaining relationships with working groups, our members, and stakeholders, including social enterprises, impact fund managers, financial institutions, institutional investors, family offices, NGOs, networks, universities, and policymakers.
- Assisting in collecting and analyzing data and coordinating ongoing working groups.
- Supporting the development and management of projects and working groups, including connecting with pension funds.
- Assisting with daily tasks such as organizing and arranging practical appointments within the NAB and NAB members.
- Supporting the team during meetings, preparing presentations, and writing documents.
- Performing administrative tasks like updating the budget and financial administration.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a Dutch university (preferably in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Economics).
- Genuinely interested in impact investing, sustainable finance, or a related topic.
- Proactive, autonomous, and flexible.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Creative and curious.
- Able to work in an (intercultural) team.
- Enthusiastic about working in a multi-stakeholder and multicultural environment.
- Experienced in IT skills (Microsoft Office package).
