About this Role
EIT Climate-KIC is seeking a Climate Impact Advisor with extensive knowledge in carbon footprint assessments for early-stage innovations. The role mainly involves collaborating with entrepreneurship teams internally and with startups and Entrepreneur Support Organisations (ESOs) externally, across the globe. This position requires independent working, a methodical approach, and the ability to deliver promptly. The advisor will manage climate metrics for startups and help develop new impact measurement methods, contributing to EIT Climate-KIC’s agenda of accelerating climate action.
Responsibilities
- Deliver carbon footprint assessments for startups and their products.
- Train startups on conducting carbon footprint assessments.
- Facilitate virtual and in-person climate impact workshops.
- Provide mentoring sessions to ESOs and startups.
- Validate climate impact claims with established procedures.
- Develop climate impact measurement methodologies.
- Manage climate impact metrics for startup portfolios.
- Produce regular climate impact reports.
Requirements
- University degree in a sustainability-related field, preferably a Master’s or higher.
- At least 5 years of experience in climate impact measurement.
- Expertise in GHG accounting methodologies.
- Ability to facilitate virtual and group sessions independently.
- Fluent in English and French/Spanish.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with collaborative IT applications.
