About this Role

The Associate/Senior Associate for the Asia-Pacific region will play a crucial role in executing Convergence’s strategic initiatives in this area. The position is based in Singapore and involves engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and contributing to the organization’s growth in the region. The role calls for maintaining and building relationships with local and regional stakeholders, focusing on expanding membership and partnerships. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Advisor and Manager of the Asia-Pacific region, contributing to client service and relationship management across various initiatives and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Convergence’s regional strategy in the Asia-Pacific.
  • Onboard investors and deal sponsors, ensuring optimal use of the platform.
  • Assist compliance team with member and transaction approvals.
  • Serve as a relationship manager for Asia-based members.
  • Develop and execute training programs in the region.
  • Organize Convergence events and coordinate with the communications team.
  • Collaborate in developing content and insights from regional engagements.
  • Contribute to Convergence’s DFMA program through pipeline generation and application screening.
  • Engage with stakeholders in the DFMA program for results recording and proposal development.
  • Support business development and fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate on thought pieces for Convergence’s DFMA region portfolio.
  • Provide learning support and capacity building for DFMA programs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience (5+ for Senior Associate) in finance, investment or corporate banking, impact investing, or grant making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field from a reputable institution.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills including networking and relationship-building.
  • Interest in private sector development in emerging markets.
  • Climate finance experience is a plus.
  • Must be a Singapore National or Permanent Resident.
