About this Role

The Asset & Wealth Management division at Goldman Sachs is central to the company’s operations, managing over $2 trillion in assets. As part of this team, you will help clients worldwide reach new heights in their financial endeavors. The Sustainable Investing Group under Goldman Sachs is dedicated to direct equity investments in private markets, focusing on climate transition and inclusive growth. This role specifically targets contributions to the Horizon Environmental & Climate Solutions fund, which invests in environmentally-focused sectors. By engaging in diverse and high-profile transactions, you have a platform to hone your investment skills and collaboration with a phenomenally experienced team.

Responsibilities

  • Spearheading all aspects of due diligence and analysis of potential investments
  • Leading detailed financial modeling to support investment decision-making
  • Developing investment and impact theses for new market opportunities
  • Drafting investment memoranda and presenting to the Investment Committee
  • Supporting portfolio management and operational uplifts at the portfolio company level

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Passion for impact investing, particularly in the target sectors: clean energy, sustainable transport, sustainable food & agriculture, waste & materials, ecosystem services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset
