ImpactAlpha, January 25 — São Paulo-based Inventa, launched last year, has built a digital marketplace for Brazilian small businesses to purchase inventory. Inventa provides loans to buy goods, which are repaid after the products are sold.

Inventa offers over 7,000 products, including cosmetics, healthy foods and home decor, to 20,000 retailers. The company is looking to digitize five million retailers that struggle to access financing for purchasing goods.

Local impact-focused venture firm Monashees led the Series A financing, alongside VC powerhouse Andreessen Horowitz. Inventa has raised $25.5 million to date.
