The El Segundo, Calif.-based firm provides cloud-based electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for businesses and organizations in the U.S.

The company closed an $8 million financing round led by San Francisco-based venture capital firm Ecosystem Integrity Fund. Existing investors and Montague Capital also participated in the round.

EV Connect will use the new funds to deliver its EV charging management and grid services to customers, the company’s founder and CEO Jordan Ramer said. With customers like Hilton, Western Digital and New York Power Authority, the company seeks to integrate with utility grid systems and open new relationships with organizations outside of the U.S.
