
UK Aid Direct was a challenge fund and centrally managed UK government grant programme funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) (formerly the Department for International Development). Established in 2014 as the successor to the Global Poverty Action Fund, its purpose was to support small and medium-sized civil society organisations (CSOs) based in the UK and overseas in delivering projects that reduce poverty and contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals).
